Professional Experience:
Mr. Mulhern's experience includes 25 years of varied architectural practice in Washington, D.C. and Denver, Colorado. Since forming the Mulhern Group in the spring of 1983, Mr. Mulhern has been involved in all phases of practice including programming, design, production, and construction observation. As Principal-in-Charge, Mr. Mulhern has overseen work in six states while maintaining licenses in four states. Some of his projects include the Regal Riverfront Hotel renovation in St. Louis, Missouri, the 750,000 S.F. Oceanside Retail Project in southern California, and the 410,000 S.F. Broadway Marketplace in Denver, Colorado. In addition to this, Mr. Mulhern has designed many recreation, hospitality facilities, and large single-family custom homes.
Previous to this time, Mr. Mulhern was Senior Project Designer for the Luckman Partnership of Los Angeles. In this position, Mr. Mulhern led the design team on the One D.T.C. Office Building: a communications office building for KOA (now KCNC) Television: masterplanning for a world trade center at the Denver Technological Center: Missoula, Montana, Stadium: and, the re-zoning of 1331 Sherman Street in Denver, Colorado.
Mr. Mulhern's strengths include his ability to listen to his clients to ascertain their desires in form and function and successfully create an architectural statement to stand the test of time.
Teaching Experience:
University of Notre Dame, Teaching Assistant, 1976-77 Catholic University of America, Assistant Professor/Architectural Design, 1979 University of Colorado at Denver, various juries for Masters Program in Architecture.
